FlipperPal ("we," "us," or "our") operates the FlipperPal mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create a FlipperPal account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. This information is used solely for authentication and account management. We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure, which stores this data securely with encryption at rest and in transit.
1.2 Bill of Sale and Deal History
FlipperPal stores the bills of sale you create and your deal history in our secure database. This includes vehicle information (year, make, model, VIN, trim), buyer and seller names and addresses, sale prices, transaction dates, and digital signatures. This data is tied to your account and is stored so you can access your deal history at any time.
1.3 Document Images (Title Scanning)
When you use the AI title scanning feature, your device captures an image of the vehicle title or registration card. This image is sent to Google's Gemini Vision AI for text extraction. The image is used only for processing — it is not stored permanently on our servers after the extraction is complete. We do not retain document images after the scan session ends.
1.4 VIN Decoding
When you decode a VIN, we send the VIN number to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) public API. No personal information is sent during this process — only the VIN string is transmitted to retrieve publicly available vehicle specification data.
1.5 Subscription and Billing Information
FlipperPal uses RevenueCat for subscription management. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. RevenueCat may collect and process subscription metadata such as subscription status, plan type, and renewal dates. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for more information.
1.6 Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage data such as feature interactions and crash reports to improve the App. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Access to your account data is restricted to authenticated users only via row-level security.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and bill of sale history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
